Presenting the comprehensive collection of Concone’s vocal studies, specially transcribed for tuba, this 144-page book is a treasure trove for tubists. The songs are thoughtfully arranged in comfortable keys for CC or BBb tubas, while also proving suitable for F and Eb tubas. They encompass the lower range of these instruments without venturing excessively low.

Comparable to the beloved Bordogni legato études, Concone’s studies offer a distinct advantage of shorter durations. Most études in this volume span just one page, allowing for quicker mastery compared to the lengthier Bordogni studies.

In order to cultivate the tubist’s ability to phrase and interpret music with precision, dynamics are intentionally omitted from the book. This encourages tubists to infuse their own interpretation into the music, staying true to the original style in which it was composed.

Concone Complete Solfeggi is a valuable resource suitable for tubists of all levels and instruments in any key. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, this collection serves as a versatile tool to refine your musicality and technical proficiency. Explore the depths of Concone’s studies and unlock your full potential as a tubist.

    Print Legibility

Order execution and customer service- perfect. Excellent product. Only thing preventing 5 stars is that the print is a bit faint and indistinct. Probably more the fault of my very senior eyes. Thanks!

    Just What The Teacher Ordered

My son has just started more comprehensive lessons in Tuba with a college professor and loves the challenge this book provides. He was excited to get it and is truly enjoying working in it.

Good book. I wish Mr. Jacobs had put in text like the Grigoriev 50 Etudes book. Thats why I gave it 4 stars.

    Only book of its kind

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jan 2013

This book is more about phrasing and interpretation than it is about legato style playing. This is a good introduction to Bordogni's style etudes. High school players can use this to learn to make music (how to phrase). Best use would be with a teacher so you can compare phrasing etc. Worth getting.

    I like it

This is a good book. There are only notes here.I wish the etudes were printed twice so I could see the phrasing etc. but I guess that would make it a really big book. I would have given 5 starts but for this one issue.
