The studies presented in this book are selected from Sachse’s 100 Transposition Études for trumpet and have been transcribed specifically for tuba. In curating this collection, I have chosen 24 studies that I believe are the most relevant and beneficial for tubists.
The études included in this collection stand out as both distinctive and valuable for tubists. While they can be effectively played on any pitched tuba, they are particularly well-suited for CC and F tubas, as these instruments offer the range, agility, and tonal characteristics best suited to the demands of these studies. By engaging with these exercises, tubists can develop greater technical facility, musical expressiveness, and overall command of their instrument.
