Charles Ives was one of the first American composers to gain international recognition, although much of his music was not performed during his lifetime. In the early 1900s, Ives wrote 114 songs, including On the Counter, Side Show, Tarrant Moss, and There Is a Lane. These very short and eclectic works are easily playable on BBb or CC tuba and can serve as an interesting and colorful addition to any solo performance.
