I bought this book for my son in high school. It is very complete. I don't know what else could be said about playing the tuba!

My daughter has wanted this book for awhile and it comes highly recommended by her Tuba instructor. She will be very surprised for Christmas! :)

Encore publications are simply the best methods for the tuba. They cover all facets of performance.
I highly recommend these studies to all tuba students. They are a must for your library!

This was recommended by my son's tuba teacher. I'm sure it will be a useful tool for many years to come. He loves to look at the duets, he and his teacher play one after every practice session.

I use this method book to keep my low register skills sharp. Also, For every exercise you play staccato, play it as legato as you can with both du and lu (loo) tonguing. That triples the size of the book and makes it even more challenging. If you listen closely, you'll improve your intonation for everything below the staff. You might be surprised on how out of tune you are playing.

This book is the king of tuba books. It is BIG, a bit too big to carry around all the time. It has exercises on everything for the tuba. I guess I will never finish it.
