Register Development for tuba volumes 1, 2 & 3 provides the
knowledge necessary for tubists to build and master the upper register.
Book 1 focuses on building the foundation to support upper register expansion. Without a solid foundation in place, it is not possible to achieve the best results. Players at all levels should begin with book 1. Even when working in books 2 and 3 it will be necessary to continue practice in book 1. Book 1 is written for BBb and CC tubas.
Use Book 2 to expand range on both low and high tubas. This book progresses into the upper register of BBb, CC, Eb and F tubas.
Book 3 contains 11 solos with piano accompaniment. These familiar solos are presented in the very high register and likely will be played on F or Eb tuba. Use book 3 to learn to play expressively and with ease in the extreme upper register.
Detailed practice instructions are included in books 1 and 2.
